Drosera serpens is a spider-leaved sundew from the tropical lowlands of northern Australia and Southeast Asia. Named for its scrambling, snake-like habit, it grows a central stem lined with long, thread-like leaves covered in sticky tentacles that sprawl outward as the plant matures. It is a fast grower and a voracious feeder, and its bright pink flowers make it a standout next to the more common flat-rosette sundews.
This is an annual species. Plants flower readily and produce plenty of seed, so sowing that seed back onto moist soil keeps your colony going year after year.
